香港鳥類報告 2016 Hong Kong Bird Report 2016

雖然2016年香港所錄得的鳥種低於2014和2015年，但對觀鳥人士來說仍然是精彩有趣的一年。鳥類名錄增加了四種在香港首次錄得的鳥種（綠眉鴨、楔尾綠鳩、洋斑燕和黃腹花蜜鳥），此報告編纂了這新記錄的鳥種文章。而有些多年未被記錄的鳥種都再次於2016年出現；特別值得一提的是封面上在港越冬的成年白鶴，無可否認牠成為了今年觀鳥界的亮點。

今年的報告還包含了兩個不常見的鳥類繁殖報告 ─ 燕隼和印支綠鵲。

Although the number of bird species recorded in Hong Kong during 2016 slipped below the records set in 2014 and 2015, it was nevertheless an interesting year for birders. Four new species were added to the Hong Kong list (American Wigeon, Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon, Pacific Swallow and Olivebacked Sunbird), and we have first papers for these species included in the report. There were also some unexpected records of species that have not been recorded for many years; in particular, the overwintering adult Siberian Crane, featured on the front cover this year, was a highlight of the year for many observers.

As well as the first papers for new species recorded during the year, the Report this year includes reports about two unusual breeding records - Eurasian Hobby and Indochinese Green Magpie.
